Maple Pictures was a Canadian-American entertainment company formed in 2005. From 2009 to 2011, they released Thomas & Friends DVDs in Canada on behalf of Lionsgate.
On 10 August 2011, Alliance Films bought Maple Pictures from Lionsgate, thus transferring distribution of Thomas & Friends DVDs in Canada to Alliance Films. Maple Pictures' final Thomas & Friends release was Day of the Diesels in September 2011.
