Maron is a small town and station on the Main Line on the east side of Gordon's Hill.

History

Maron station consists of two platforms, with the northern platform having the station building. A few sidings are located on the southern side of the station, which constitute a small yard. There was also a siding located east of the station, where Thomas nearly hit buffers after being pushed by the Troublesome Trucks.

On former Railway Consultant Sam Wilkinson's 2014 map of Sodor, the station serves as the junction for the Main Line Loop and the Ulfstead Branch Line. Boulder Quarry is also located roughly 4.5 miles north-west of the town on the map.

Trivia

• Maron's design in the first series is based on that of Elsbridge in The Railway Series.
• In the French dub, Maron is not referred to by name, but the station is referred to by epithet: "la gare des marrons" (meaning: the station of the chestnuts).
