Maron Bridge is a bridge carrying the Main Line located just west of Maron, around the top of Gordon's Hill.
History[]
Maron Bridge was constructed in 1914/15, alongside the rest of the Main Line between Wellsworth and Kellsthorpe Road. The bridge crosses both the Maura and the road between Suddery and the quarry north of Maron. Little else is currently known about the bridge, as it does not appear in materials outside of maps of Sodor.
Appearances[]
Trivia[]
- Early maps of Sodor appear to depict the bridge over the Maura as being to the east of Maron station. From the 1987 map onwards, the bridge is to the station's west, with another separate bridge to the east.
