- In the cancelled episode of the Jack and the Sodor Construction Company series, The Importance of Being Patrick, the mayor was described as "overweight". He would have been set to open an ornamental garden around the famous Sodor bandstand. When he arrived to cut the ribbon, he was about to step on the path, with everyone gasping wondering if the mayor and his considerable weight would sink. Due to Patrick's work, the cement was rock hard.
The Second Mayor of Sodor
The Second Mayor of Sodor was a former mayor of the Island of Sodor.
Biography
When the mayor was newly elected, Gordon was given the job of taking him on a special tour of the island, while Emily was tasked with pulling the Express in Gordon's place.
The mayor once invited a famous artist to paint a picture called "the Spirit of Sodor". After the painting was complete, the mayor unveiled it at Knapford that night and the painting was revealed to be of Percy.

The Third Mayor of Sodor
The Third Mayor is the current and longest-running mayor of the Island of Sodor.
Biography
The mayor owns a yacht, which Thomas once took to a launch party at the Fishing Village.
On the reopening day of Great Waterton, Thomas gave Stanley the job of taking the mayor to Great Waterton.
The mayor has also attended other events with Sir Topham Hatt, such as the unveiling of the new Lion of Sodor statue and Dowager Hatt's party, both at Knapford.
When the Sodor Search and Rescue Centre achieved their one-thousandth rescue, the mayor presented them with a new alarm bell at the ceremony which was held there. When Percy and Diesel were trapped at the Old Quarry, the mayor arrived with Sir Topham Hatt along with the rescue vehicles who performed their one thousand-and-first rescue.
Attire
The mayor's attire consists of black trousers, a purple and white striped tie and a white shirt with a black waistcoat and jacket over it. He wears a black bowler hat and a bronze chain of office.

The Mayor of Wellsworth appeared in the magazine stories.
Biography
The mayor once hosted a dinner at Wellsworth Town Hall for Sir Topham Hatt, who admired his ice horse centre-piece. Another time, Mavis had to deliver a statue of the mayor, but she did not see what was so special about it. That was until she saved some workmen from a rockfall at the quarry and she was rewarded with her own statue.
