McDonald's is an American multinational fast food chain, founded in 1940.
McDonald's has also offered toys based of around both Thomas & Friends and Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go in regions outside of the UK and the US.
Additionally, Ronald McDonald, a clown used the company's mascot appeared in the song Kids for Character alongside Thomas.

From September to October 2024, McDonald's sold nine Japan-exclusive Plarail toys to promote the toy line's 65th Anniversary. One of the toys included in the first wave is a Keihan Electric Railway 13000 Series train decorated with an All Engines Go theme. These included a sticker sheet to apply detail to the toy (save for the Thomas one), and each had a unique function.

A weekend campaign was held from 14-16 September, during which every purchase of a Happy Meal with a Plarail toy included a promotional DVD.[1]

- Michael Angelis voiced characters in two UK McDonald's adverts. One from 2007, where he voiced a sentient carrot,[2] and another from 2009, where he voiced a turtle.[3]
- In the German dub of Thomas & Friends since the tenth series, Mighty Mac has been called Big Mac, which is also the same name of a burger from McDonald's and a character from TUGS.
- A Thomas & Friends Adventures Diamond Run set appears in one advertisement for the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
- A Ronald McDonald balloon float appeared behind the Thomas & Friends Thomas balloon float in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2016.
