Hi! Thanks for letting me know. I'm on SiF as well, but I was troublesome there when I was new, so my posting privileges have been revoked permanently (be very cautious, Ryan takes no nonsense). Even though I'm more sensible now (or, so I feel), Ryan hasn't seen any improvement in my behaviour. However, we could use PMs and the Shoutbox to communicate instead. Provided that the Hebrew TTTE Wikia launches its Forums during your time on SiF, you'll be invited to study the language (as fluently as an oleh hadash [immigrant to Israel]) and sign up when they'll be founded.
I see, i was also hoping you could tell Sirfowler1 and The-Arc-Minister, as they were some of my best friends on the site. As well as your watchers. Also, what did you do on the site to get yourself blocked, and whats your name there?
I've just told them, but telling my watchers would be redundant.
I'm not fully blocked (or banned), just not allowed to post. Long story short, I signed up there specifically to promote the Hebrew language TTTE Wikia (official title: Thomaspedia, תומספדיה), and didn't even bother to read the rules and behave properly. Here's the text of a PM I sent Ryan in December 2014 in an attempt to apologize, followed by his response:
I've been a troublesome user, and I didn't mean to cause Confusion and Delay. I never should've done that, but I'll improve down the line. Do not suspend me from posting, as I'll make sure to do no more harm. The main reason I signed up here was to reach out to the actual members of the fanbase to promote תומספדיה, so I didn't have time to read the rules. I'll read them right now.
I have received various complaints regarding your behaviour in the time you have been part of the boards. My staff members have addressed you several times, but it has made absolutely no impact upon you. You do not seem to comprehend the fact that we will not tolerate disrespectful and ignorant behaviour here.
The fact that you have had various opportunities to read the rules, and have been made aware of them on numerous occasions by the staff team, but chosen not to read them does not leave me with much sympathy if any for your cause here. I cannot find grounds to agree with your claim that promotion of תומספדיה here has been the reason behind your inability to find time to read our forum rules, given that you have engaged in various other threads and topics where this has no bearing - in particular, the Forum Games.
One forum rule in particular, about respecting your fellow members and staff, should not have been one you needed to reference - it should have been something you know people expect of others. Given that your only motivation to actually read them has been the removal of your posting privileges, I cannot find sympathy for your cause, and will not be reinstating your posting privileges at this point in time. If in time, I can be assured of a marked improvement in your behaviour and conduct here, I will reinstate them. Until then, please take the time to consider your behaviour and actions in the future.
Almost a year later, he sent me a PM regarding my queries about my posting privileges:
I'm led to believe you have some queries regarding your posting privileges here right now, and I have had a few of your messages in the ShoutBox brought to my attention, which have been subsequently deleted:
If my posting rights were reinstated, I would've gladly posted about my progress on the Hebrew fandub of [The Adventure Begins]. Unfortunately, Ryan still refuses to "let it go" [Frozen reference], which means I'll only ever be able to talk about it in the shoutbox, which updates all the time and my updates get buried under constant bombards of new messages.
Hopefully, after [I can't remember the context], you will be able to reinstate my posting rights. It's been a year now, and you still haven't "Let it Go"? The TTTE Wikia forum has become somewhat boring, and the Thomas Fan Forum is hardly ever active. This is the largest of the three, and I can't even properly interact with its members anymore.
The above messages are enough to convince me that you are most definitely not ready to have your posting privileges reinstated. Your behaviour has not improved, and you've learned nothing from the experience. You're just biding your time until I am ready to take a chance on you and allow you to carry on as you did before. I can appreciate your frustration, but had you actually listened to the previous warnings we'd issued, and learned from them, you wouldn't be in this mess and we wouldn't be having this discussion. Further to that, your comments are insulting to both me personally and the Wiki Forums staff.
I am not allowing you to have your posting privileges returned until as such times as you have actually changed. Any further comments in the ShoutBox like the ones above will not only be deleted again, but you'll receive an outright ban for your petulant behaviour.
Needless to say, I haven't bothered him ever since, because I know they'll never be reinstated. My display name there is TheIsraeliSudrian, but the account name is lagroil. Creating a second account would definitely never work since everyone would find out who I am and I would indeed get an outright ban.
Hmm, it seems to me you were banned due to trying to promote your own works and othe user finding it bothersome. As this wiki doesn't have a live chat, you can catch me on The Stories of Sodor wiki at the https://storiesfromsodor.wikia.com/wiki/User:The_Knapford_Stationmaster by clicking the Join the Chat button. I already have several things planned for it. Don't worry about other users coming in. Both Jacob and Greg are friends of mine.
Sorry, I can't access full Hebrew episodes of Season 22, and the only evidence I've seen of Season 21 when I checked the broadcast schedules was that "The Fastest Red Engine on Sodor" aired. Many S22 episodes are available on the Hop! site, but none of them are free.
Hi, I saw that you have edited on the Chinese Thomas wikia, (I believe that's the language it is), and was wondering if you have any idea what the name of the ship that Thomas rides on to China in bwba is named. I believe it's either Chinese or Japanese characters on the side of it.. But I'm not exactly sure
Yes, the Israeli version of JimJam offered Hebrew versions of its content in 2015, and Thomas & Friends was narrated by Nir Ron. I've only ever heard his character voices, but never as the narrator. In one promotional video, they showed some footage from the first season (without its audio), which means it was one of the seasons he narrated. I know for sure that the other seasons are on JimJam, but I simply never heard what the dub sounds like.
First of all, I haven't dubbed anything since 2017 (the first few Meet the Contenders videos), though I do hope to make another comeback at some point (especially after I had my first proper exposure to the Disney Renaissance films, which have given me ideas). Second, "offend me"? "Religious beliefs"? As an atheist, the "uncensored" Christmas/Halloween episodes are "btelim b'shishim" to me. Also, I never did any Season 2 episodes within that short period, so I'd be glad to dub them if I ever come back, including "Thomas and the Missing Christmas Tree". I haven't had such a suggestion/request for a long time, so I do appreciate this. Thank you for your time.
Okay. I thought you were jewish because being israeli and all that, and asking to do somthing "christian" related would offened you. Also, Thanks for replying! I follow you on dailymotion, and I think your stuff is awesome!
I am Jewish (by nationality), but I've become an atheist (albeit one who still observes traditions without believing in their religious meanings). Besides, if I were so heavily offended by even the slightest Christian element, I would've been upset and frustated to realize an ANGLICAN VICAR was responsible for the creation of this whole franchise.
I only ever used Dailymotion to host videos elsewhere, such as the official Hebrew episodes and songs on the localized Wikia or to showcase my own unofficial projects on various communities.
The Hebrew fandub of The Adventure Begins was being made in 2015 (back when the film was new), but it was produced using very poor methods and only one other VA (Cressence from HebrewTimeslations) was cast for it. It was supposed to feature a voice cast like the actual CGI series in hopes of improving the overall quality. It also took me far too long and I knew the end result would be awful before it was even finished due to my inconsistent voices and the decrease in quality (audio and visuals), so it had to be cancelled and won't be revisited since it was done when the film was relevant.
(It's "IsrAEli" [not "Isreali"; of course it "is real"]).
Of course; I'm a near-native speaker by now (and no, none of it came from school or kindergarten, so I'm self-taught). I'm better at English to Hebrew than vice-versa, though. And what do you mean by "release some audio"? Also, the voice I used in my Hebrew T&F fandubs was NOT my natural one (yet); Audacity was used to make it deeper so I could sound more like the actual narrators, which are (almost) always grown men (I started when I was 15). I had no idea people still watch my fandubs (perhaps I should make a comeback; I'm also considering branching out into other British "non-adult" shows, either to produce better dubs of them [than the official ones], to dub specific episodes/seasons that are not known to have aired here [or have been lost], or to dub them into Hebrew for the first time in their entire histories).
Curiously, the Ishim.co.il entry for the series has not been updated, despite Season 20 having started airing. Since all the episodes and specials have the exact same voice cast, Dan Shatzberg obviously still narrates.
No, I can't, since Hop! are no longer uploading episodes (on the official website, they still have nothing but the four early episodes of S17, and their shoddy exclusive TTTE game called "Friends on the Rails" ["חברים על הפסים"], which I shouldn't have played). Again, this almost makes me wish the pirates at Sdarot had the show in their catalog.
