David Mitton Map[]
Though David Mitton's map of the Mid Sodor Railway has yet to be seen in full, it is known that Duke's Station is just north of Crovan's Gate based on coordinates given in concept art.
Sam Wilkinson Map[]
On former Railway Consultant Sam Wilkinson's 2016 map of Sodor, the Mid Sodor Railway follows its original route from The Railway Series, however with a few additions. Beginning from Arlesburgh, these are:
- Bertram's Old Mine is at the end of the mine branch south of Ffarquhar Road.
- Duke's Village between Arlesdale Green and the old Arlesdale station.
- The Old Station between the old Arlesdale station and Cas-ny-Hawin.
- Sodor Gold Co. is located on a mine branch south west of Kirkleas.
- Elm Farm between Ulfstead Road and Ballamoddey.
- Valesbridge between Ballamoddey and King Orry's Bridge.
Rolling Stock[]
Locomotives[]
Skarloey, Rheneas and Duncan made various cameo appearances on the Mid Sodor Railway and were depicted as the other engines working alongside Duke, Stuart, Falcon and Smudger.
Appearances[]
Trivia[]
- The railway shared several sets with the Skarloey Railway and vice versa.
- In the fourth series episode Sleeping Beauty, the map of the Mid Sodor Railway used is based on a map of the Isle of Wight's railway network but flipped upside-down.
- Though it's never mentioned in the show, Bertram was a Mid Sodor engine. Confirmed in the original script of Toby's Discovery, as Duke is mentioned in the sentence that states "It might well have been Duke's old line".
