- "Why are you so excited?"
"Can't tell you!" - ― Peter Sam and Rheneas
Missing Trucks, retitled Missing Cars lengthened to Missing Freight Cars in North American releases, is the twenty-fifth episode of the tenth series.
Plot
Rheneas had finished delivering trucks of chicken feed and is now enjoying the views as he is heading back to the Transfer Yards. The Thin Controller asks him to deliver slate trucks to Thomas at the Wharf. On his way down to the Wharf, he meets up with Skarloey, who is extremely tired, and is taking on more water. He tells Rheneas he has to pick up stone from the quarry and pick up coal trucks from the Transfer Yards and deliver them to the Wharf. Soon his water is full, and puffs sadly away. Then Rheneas has an idea. Since he is heading to the Wharf as well, he can deliver the coal trucks for him. And it would be a nice surprise. So, he rushes back to the Transfer Yards.
Peter Sam can see he is excited. But Rheneas tells him that it is a surprise. He couples up to Skarloey's coal trucks and sets off. But as he reaches a steep hill, he realizes he cannot take his slate trucks and Skarloey's coal trucks all at once. So, he leaves the coal trucks in a siding and continues on with his trucks.
Thomas is at the Wharf waiting for the slate trucks. As soon as Rheneas arrives, Thomas can see he is in a hurry. Rheneas says tells him it is a surprise. As soon as he is uncoupled, he rushes back to the coal trucks. But when he reaches the siding, Skarloey's coal trucks are gone. Rheneas searches for them everywhere, but they are nowhere to be found. He stops at a red signal, and Skarloey puffs up looking worried. He is looking for the coal trucks as well, and if he does not find them, he will have to go to the depot and tell the Thin Controller. Rheneas does not want him to get in trouble. So, he goes to the Transfer Yards to tell the other engines, in the hopes they will help as well.
Rusty, Sir Handel and Mighty Mac are there and Rheneas tells them about his surprise. Then Peter Sam puffs in with Skarloey's coal trucks. He explains that he found them at the bottom of a hill. Rheneas is excited and thanks Peter Sam, though Peter Sam is confused. Then Skarloey puffs in with the Thin Controller on board, who are both confused as Skarloey told Mr. Percival what happened. Rheneas tells the Thin Controller what he had done and asks if he can still take Skarloey's coal trucks for him, to which the Thin Controller obliges. Skarloey is quite happy, now that he knows what Rheneas has been doing, and can take a rest. And Rheneas is the happiest of all.

Trivia
- Going by production order, this is the twenty-second episode of the tenth series.
- This episode marks three things:
- The only episode in the tenth series (plus the HiT Entertainment model era in general) to have three titles in two separate English speaking countries.
- The last appearance of the Rheneas Viaduct in the model era and its last appearance until eighteenth series.
- Rheneas' last episode with a leading role until the sixteenth series episode, The Christmas Tree Express, and his final episode with a leading role in the model series.
- Throughout the US dub, Peter Sam has the same nasally voice Michael Brandon provided for both Skarloey and Rheneas.
Goofs
- In several scenes, Rheneas is wearing two of Skarloey's face masks. Because of this, his nose also changes shape and a gap can be seen in his eyes in those scenes.
- Skarloey wears his shocked face when telling Rheneas about his job, when he is supposed to be tired. This is due to a tired face not being sculpted for his large scale model. Also the face plate isn't on properly as a gap can be seen between it, and his eyes.
- When Michael Brandon reads the three-word US title, he leaves out the word "freight" in the DVD version.
- Rheneas' steam platform can be seen for most of the episode. Most notably when he puffs away from the water tower where some steam is still coming out of it.
- When Peter Sam looks puzzled, his eyes are wonky, and a gap can be seen between his face plate, and eyes.
