Coast Guard is a small port authority launch vessel. It has previously been seen at the Brendam Canal, Suddery Coastal Village, Lakeside, Tidmouth Beach and the Seaside Village.

Coast Guard is based on a 1920s United States Coast Guard wooden-hulled patrol boat.
Livery[]
In the third series, Coast Guard was originally painted white with the name "COAST GUARD" visible on his stern in black lettering. In the fourth series, Coast Guard was repainted grey with its name removed.

- Coast Guard's model was recycled from the character of the same name that appeared originally appeared in the Thomas & Friends sister series, TUGS.
- In Big World! Big Adventures!, a picture of the Coast Guard at Suddery Coastal Village is seen inside the Sailor's Cafe.
- Due to the fact that the model was never seen after the fifth series, it can be assumed that it was destroyed during the transit back from Canada after Thomas and the Magic Railroad filming wrapped up.
- In the magazines, the Coast Guard launch is based on the same design as Krystyna.

Krystyna[]
Krystyna is a small harbour launch which was once moored at Brendam Docks. The Fat Controller used Krystyna in order to reprimand Percy when the trucks pushed him into the sea.[1]

- Krystyna carries the "Red Ensign", a flag used the Royal Navy and British Merchant Seamen, originating from the early 17th century.
- Despite Krystyna being of British origin, her name is the Polish version of the name 'Christina'.
