Mrs. Kyndley's Cottage is a small cottage situated on Thomas' Branch Line south of Hackenbeck Tunnel. Mrs. Kyndley lives here with her husband.
History[]
In December 1951, while ill in bed, Mrs. Kyndley waved a red dressing gown from the bedroom window of the cottage to warn Thomas and his crew of a landslide which had blocked the tracks.
A year later, during December 1952, the cottage was almost buried in snow, but luckily Thomas, Toby and Terence came to help clear the snow away.
