New Zealand is an island country situated off of the south-east coast of Australia in the southwestern Pacific Ocean. Like Australia, it is part of the continent of Oceania.
In the Thomas & Friends online series Really Useful Around the World, Thomas visited New Zealand when he was taking the Sodor rugby team from Wellington to Auckland. The team captain of the All Blacks rugby team teaches Thomas the Maori tradition of greeting people with scary faces to determine how brave they are, with Thomas the practicing his own scary faces with the team.
