Nia's Surprising Surprise is the forty-ninth episode of the first series of Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go.

Plot[]

Nia is planning a big party to celebrate the anniversary of her arrival on Sodor, but she finds that her friends don't remember her anniversary and are too busy to even talk about it.

Trivia[]

  • From the episode onwards, Henry regains his whistle sound from the original series.
  • This episode marks the first of a few things:
    • The first and currently only episode of All Engines Go to be written by a writer from the original series and this is also the only episode to be written by Michael White.
    • The first episode in which Carly pulls rolling stock.
  • Aside from singing the song, the Troublesome Trucks, Annie, Clarabel, and Sir Topham Hatt have no dialogue in this episode.

Goofs[]

  • In the aerial view of Brendam Docks:
    • Gordon is missing his tender and in the next scene, his rolling stock disappears.
    • James' lamp is on the wrong side of his running board and his number is missing.
    • Henry's running board is red, his cylinders, cab windows, some of his wheel arches and his back trailing wheels are missing, and his tender has six wheels as opposed to four.
