The Orange-Brown Bogie Coaches are the main coaches used by the North Western Railway. There are several types of these coaches used across both the Main Line and branch lines. Some of these coaches were used on The Wild Nor' Wester and The Sudrian prior to the arrival of Pip and Emma.

Corridor Coaches[]

The Orange-Brown Corridor Coaches are bogie coaches with corridor connections. They are used primarily on the North Western Railway's Main Line.

Technical Details[]

Basis[]

The coaches have no known specific basis, however their designs are typical of corridor coaches used in the United Kingdom between the 1920s and 1960s.

Livery[]

The coaches have terracotta bodies with light grey roofs.

During Clive Spong's tenure as illustrator, their roofs were changed to black and they were given a yellow stripe along each side of their bodies.

Non-Corridor Coaches[]

The Orange-Brown Non-Corridor Coaches are bogie coaches with open floor plans, which have doors at each end but lack corridor connections between them. They are used primarily on the North Western Railway's Main Line.

The Orange-Brown Suburban Coaches are bogie coaches with compartments and no corridor connections. They are usually used on branch lines and Main Line stopping trains. On a few occasions, they have also been seen on fast and express trains. Some have also been seen on the Mainland.
