Bert and Alf are two cleaners who work for the North Western Railway.
Biography[]
After Gordon had slid off the turntable at Vicarstown Yards and landed in a ditch, Bert and Alf were cleaning him the next day. Alf expressed his disapproval of Gordon's complaining and asked Bert if he had seen so much mud before. Bert replied that he did not and then told Gordon that he had given both him and Alf extra work.

The Tidmouth Painter[]
The Tidmouth Painter is a painter who works for the North Western Railway.
Biography[]
Before the Queen's visit to the Island of Sodor, this painter was getting ready to repaint Tidmouth Station's canopy. Henry, who had arrived at the station, released black smoke from his funnel. The smoke caused the painter to not see very well and he fell off his ladder, landing onto a tarpaulin placed on top of Henry's cab. The painter's paint pot fell onto Henry, covering his boiler and cab with white paint. The painter expressed his frustration to Henry before leaving.

Charlie Sand was one of Edward's drivers. He was part of Edward's crew alongside the fireman; Sidney Hever.
Biography[]
When Edward arrived at Wellsworth after meeting Trevor, the Vicar noticed that Edward was upset and he asked Charlie what the matter was. Charlie then explained about Trevor's situation.

Sidney Hever was one of Edward's firemen. He was part of Edward's crew alongside the driver; Charlie Sand.
Biography[]
Sidney seemed to have a hobby of singing. He once sang the song Oh Dear What Can the Matter Be while he, along with Charlie, Edward and the guard, were waiting for Thomas to arrive with his passengers. He then climbed on top of Edward's cab to look for Thomas, however, he only saw Bertie. Unbeknownst to Sidney, Bertie had to take Thomas' passengers for him due to Thomas' fireman not showing up for work. Sidney assumed that Bertie was on a coach tour before climbing back down.

The Firelighter[]
The Firelighter is a specialist fireman who ignites the engines' fireboxes.
Biography[]
Sometimes during the morning, the firelighter arrives to ignite the engines' fireboxes, so when the engine's crew arrive, the engine is steamed up and ready to go.

The Careless Cleaner is a cleaner who works for the North Western Railway.
Biography[]
After Thomas planned to prove to Percy and Toby that he could manage without a driver, the cleaner meddled with Thomas' controls, which caused Thomas to move and crash into the Ffarquhar Stationmaster's House. It is unknown what happened to the cleaner after the accident.

Fred and Bert are two porters who work for the North Western Railway.
Biography[]
At Tidmouth, Fred and Bert were transporting luggage on a trolley. Fred drove the trolley while Bert walked behind him. Bert warned Fred to be careful, however, Fred was in a hurry. An old lady suddenly appeared in front and Fred stopped the trolley so suddenly that it caused the luggage to slid forward and pop open the lid of a beehive. Some bees flew out of the beehive and one of the people shouted a warning, which promoted everyone to evacuate the station, except for James and his crew, who had just arrived at the station.
