Patrick Breen (born, Joseph Patrick Breen in Brooklyn, New York, USA on 26th October 1960) is an American actor, playwright and screenwriter.
He was the original voice of Splatter and Dodge in Thomas and the Magic Railroad, but was later replaced by Neil Crone and Kevin Frank, respectively. It is not entirely clear how much work Breen finished on the film, as the workprint leaked in 2020 sees his voice used interchangeably with a scratch track provided by Michael Angelis.
He has appeared in many shows and movies such as "Sex and the City", "ER", "Joan of Arcadia", "Law & Order", "Frasier", "Will & Grace", "Christmas with the Kranks", "Oz", "Men in Black", "Melrose Place", "Passed Away", "21 Jump Street", "Angel", "Just a Kiss", "CSI: Miami", "Royal Pains", "A Series of Unfortunate Events" and "Galaxy Quest".
He is known for narrating "The Magic Adventures of Mumfie", another show produced by Britt Allcroft.

Trivia
- Breen also provides various temp voices for characters in Thomas and the Magic Railroad. The only characters that have been officially confirmed as being portrayed by him are Splatter and Dodge. Since it is confirmed that Michael Angelis was originally going to portray James and Percy, it is likely that Breen would've originally played Henry and Toby.
- both he and the Finnish actor Jarmo Koski have been the narrators for Magic Adventures of Mumfie in their languages.
