Percy and the Circus is a magazine story.
Plot[]
The circus comes to Sodor and Percy hopes he can help with shunting the special trucks and coaches. Gordon agrees as he believes shunting is only for tank engines like Percy and that he should also get a job as a circus clown.
At the station, Percy meets Coco the Clown, who has always wanted to ride in a tank engine's cab. The driver agrees and after his work, Percy takes Coco on a tour of the branch line. Coco thanks him for a splendid ride and declares Percy his friend. Percy tells the other engines this in the shed that night and Gordon laughs at him.
The next time Percy sees Coco, he informs him of how rude Gordon was. Coco decides they should play a trick on him. That night, Coco adds a big red nose to Gordon's face. In the morning, The Fat Controller speaks severely to Gordon about his new nose. Gordon is very embarassed and wonders how such a thing could happen but only Percy and Coco know and keep it secret.

- Gordon feeling embarassed about the red nose is almost similar to his fantasy sequence in the twenty-third series episode, Gordon Gets the Giggles.
