Playing Around with Thomas & Friends is a series of videos released on the official Thomas & Friends YouTube channel featuring My First Thomas Railway Pals, Minis, Wood and TrackMaster Toys. The first four videos were animated in CGI and feature a voice cast, while the following videos were stop motion-animated and had no dialogue.

Trivia[]

  • This video was made with animated versions of the Railway Pals toy range.
  • In this video, Harold's favourite colour is revealed to be orange, Rosie's favourite colour is also revealed to be purple (of which is lavender (her original colour) in a darker shade).
    • In addition, Thomas, Percy and James all revealed that their favourite colours are the colours they are all painted: blue, green and red, respectively.
  • Tidmouth Sheds has been reduced from seven berths to five. Its appearance is akin to some merchandise (Wooden Railway, Wood, Take Along and Take-n-Play) and the All Engines Go series.

Goofs[]

  • Thomas says there is a rainbow over Tidmouth Station, but it was actually over Tidmouth Sheds.

  • Thomas' model is skewed as he watches the cow run with the other animals.
  • Merlin is seen without his tender.
  • Annie and Clarabel are seen moving without any assistance from an engine.
  • Bertie is seen on railway track at Knapford.
  • Victor is seen pushing standard gauge express coaches and appears on standard gauge rails.
  • When the station attendants turn around, all vehicles except Bertie disappear.
  • The cruise ship behind Cranky is not visible when Victor pulls into the docks, but it appears on a following close-up.
  • Cranky picks up a crate of apples, but it switches to a Crosby Croquet cargo crate in the next shot.
  • When Rosie whistles to get the animals' attention, no cargo is visible in her train.
  • All but two of Thomas and Rosie's cargo cars somehow disappear on their trip back to the Sodor Animal Park.
  • The zebra and cow are led back to the Sodor Animal Park despite not being part of the park.
  • The Sodor Animal Park layout changes between the first and last scenes.
