Pot Luck! is a magazine story.

Thomas meets a painter who is not having very good luck. First he is chased from a field by a bull and then he knocks over a milk churn at the station. He confesses to Thomas that he has not sold many paintings recently, but later Thomas sees him buying some old milk churns from a scrap yard. A few weeks later, the artist arrives to see Thomas and presents him with a milk churn which he had painted a picture of Thomas on and planted flowers in. Thomas feels very proud.

  • When the artist thanks Thomas, the space below Thomas' bunker is painted red.
  • At the end, it is said Thomas' milk churn had a picture of his face on it, but it actually has the whole of his front painted on it.
