The Brazilian Monkeys live in Brazil. Many of them live in the Amazon Rainforest.

Biography[]

When Thomas and Nia were delivering coffee to the San Francisco Docks, they passed some monkeys in the Amazon Rainforest.

The Indian Monkeys[]

The Indian Monkeys live in India. Many of them live at the Monkey Palace.

Biography[]

Thomas once encountered some monkeys at the Monkey Place. However, one of them ended up in his wagon of coconuts. When Thomas noticed the monkey and applied his brakes, the wagon's door opened, causing all the coconuts to fall out. The monkeys later helped Thomas by refilling his wagon with coconuts from the trees.

The Sodor Animal Park Monkeys[]

The Sodor Animal Park owns some monkeys.

Biography[]

During Christmas time, the heating boiler at the Sodor Animal Park broke down and Thomas took the monkeys along with the other animals to Tidmouth Sheds to keep them warm.

Thomas was once tasked with taking some new monkeys to the Sodor Animal Park. However, when he arrived at Brendam Docks, the monkeys had escaped from their wagon and ran amok around the docks. They were eventually coaxed back into the wagon and Thomas took them to the animal park.

Mickey[]

Mickey is a monkey who resides at the Animal Rescue Centre.

Biography[]

One day, Mickey escaped and travelled on Annie's roof to Wellsworth, stole a lady's hat and sat on the station roof. Thomas' driver tempted the wayward monkey down with fruit and he was soon recaptured.

Chimpanzees[]

The Sodor Animal Park Chimpanzees[]

The Sodor Animal Park owns some chimpanzees.

Biography[]

The chimpanzees were very bored and sad in their cage. One day, Arthur passed by with a truck of scrap. The rangers saw an opportunity to put the rubbish to good use and built the chimps a play area. The chimps are very happy now.

One was also seen at the park in early magazine story Some Most Unusual Passengers.

The Kenya Chimpanzees[]

The Kenya Chimpanzees are a group of chimpanzees living in Kenya.

Biography[]

While visiting Kenya, Thomas took a trainload of passengers and a little boy to see the animals along the line, and at the station, Thomas and the boy encountered the chimpanzees, climbing all over Thomas and the coaches.
