Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends Producer's Showcase, also titled Thomas the Tank Engine Producer's Showcase, is a 1998 US promotional VHS release featuring two first series episodes, one second series episode and three third series episodes narrated by George Carlin, two fifth series episodes narrated by Alec Baldwin and one song.

  • Seventeen copies of this tape from Britt Allcroft's personal collection were sold in the Thomas & Friends: The Britt Allcroft Collection auction on 9 September 2025[1] to TheStarSwitcher[2]. TheStarSwitcher later sold one copy to Oliver11GWR.
  • Six different label variants of this VHS were found in Britt Allcroft's collection.
  • A countdown clock is shown before each episode but not before Thomas' Anthem. The dates on the countdown clocks are:
    • 16 March 1998: The Flying Kipper, Down the Mine, Thomas, Percy and the Dragon, Henry's Forest and Thomas, Percy and the Mail Train
    • 18 March 1998: Thomas Comes to Breakfast
    • 12 May 1998: Lady Hatt's Birthday Party and Stepney Gets Lost
  • Two mastering variants of this VHS exist:
    • Some early copies of this VHS feature an echoed soundtrack for all the episodes and Thomas' Anthem. These copies do not include the "Storyteller Alec Baldwin" text during the fifth series opening credits or "A Gullane Pictures Release" during the fifth series end credits.
    • Some later copies are not echoed. These copies include the "Storyteller Alec Baldwin" text during the fifth series opening credits and "A Gullane Pictures Release" during the fifth series end credits.
