Pulling Together is a magazine story. The first part of this story is titled Head On.
Plot[]
Bill and Ben had run into trouble when they ended up face to face on the same track and neither wanted to back down. The Fat Controller scolds both twins and they take offence to this. Both Bill and Ben complain that the other was in the wrong to BoCo, who feels both are to blame.
Bill and Ben's grumbling causes the other engines in the yard to feel upset and Duck explains the negative atmosphere to BoCo. BoCo then comes up with a plan that will get Bill and Ben working together again. He speaks with The Fat Controller and in the morning, he sets out with a special train. This leaves Bill and Ben to pull his regular goods.
Ben offers to take the train all on his own but it is unfortunately too much for an engine of his size. Bill just has to laugh and Ben joins in. The twins decided that things will get done properly if they work together and they soon become friends again.
