In Thomas & Friends, Thomas and Nia arrived here at separate points with the cargo of coffee in Big World! Big Adventures! Sir Topham Hatt also came here hoping to find Thomas. Natalie and Carter work here. Thomas boarded a ship here to China, being first seen at the Great Wall of China. The Sailor's Cafe is located nearby.

- In the early 1970s, this was where Flying Scotsman stopped during his US tour.
- In the Big World! Big Adventures! book, a crane at the dock appears to be based on the Faller HO gantry crane.
