Scruff's Makeover (Volume 43) is a 2014 Hong Kong DVD release featuring five seventeenth series episodes. It was released on VCD and DVD in Thailand under the title The Lost Puff (Volume 78). It was released on DVD in Indonesia under the title Steamy Stafford.

It was released with four seventeenth series episodes under the title Steamer Stafford in Croatia. It was released with four seventeenth series episodes under the title Kevin's Cranky Friend in Malaysia and Singapore.

Description

Hong Kong

Scruff works with Whiff at the Waste Dump collecting rubbish trucks. When the Fat Controller sees how rusty and dirty Scruff looks, he insists that he goes straight to the Steamworks to be repainted. Soon the other engines are telling Scruff how smart he looks, so he decides he doesn't want to work at the dirty Waste Dump anymore. He tries asking Percy, Thomas and Gordon if he can do their jobs instead, but eventually Scruff realises that the only way to be Really Useful is to do his own job at the Waste Dump, even if it means getting really dirty.

Thomas, the small, mischievous engine live with all of his friends on the Island of Sodor. They all happily work together on the railway. However, not everything goes well all the time and the little blue engine often has to face a lot of unexpected problems. In the end, they can usually congratulate each other on being Really Useful Engines.

Stafford, the battery operated engine doesn't run on coal and water like the steam engines, he runs off a battery which is very quiet. So when Stafford overhears some children. saying he's too quiet and doesn't sound like a proper engine, he is very upset. Stafford asks Thomas and Percy to teach hin how to make the same chuffing sounds they do. But when he is sent to collect some lambs for Farmer McCoil 's new noisy sounds make the lambs run away. Stafford soon realises that being a quiet engine is actually Really Useful.
