Sheep are livestock animals usually kept on farms. Mature female sheep are called ewes and mature male sheep are called rams. Young domestic sheep are called lambs.
The Ram[]
The Ram is a hungry ram who lives in a field.
Biography[]
Percy once encountered the ram on the line, but his fireman lured him away with some cabbage. When Percy arrived at Maithwaite, one of the stationmaster stated that the ram had a knack for always being hungry. When Maithwaite was vandalised, some boys were held hostage in the waiting room by the ram who was thought to have caused the damage but was actually trying to stop the boys from causing anything more, as Percy's driver and one of the stationmasters found out. At Maithwaite's "Best Dressed Station" ceremony, Sir Topham Hatt gave the ram a pumpkin as a reward, but his top hat was blown off by Harold and quickly eaten by the ram.

Farmer McColl's Sheep[]
Farmer McColl owns many sheep who are either kept at his farm or his sheep field.
Biography[]
When Farmer McColl's sheep started lambing one winter day, he required a vet and Duck was sent to take the vet to McColl Farm. After Duck failed to get through the snow, Toby successfully took the vet to McColl Farm to tend to the newly born lambs. Toby then had the idea to house the lambs inside Henrietta until the first of spring.
When Thomas was taking chickens to market, sheep to McColl Farm and children to school, he accidentally told the farmers at Wellsworth to unload the sheep at the market instead of the chickens, due to his lack of sleep, and the sheep caused a ruckus at the market.
Stafford once scared the sheep with his makeshift whistle noise when he was sent to collect them, but luckily he found them.
When Percy was taking Farmer McColl's new spring lambs and ewes to a spring fair at Maithwaite, he accidentally damaged the livestock wagon and the lambs and ewes escaped when he was travelling down the line, however, Thomas' crew picked them up and they delivered them to the fair onboard Annie and Clarabel.

The Lost Sheep[]
The lost sheep was once stranded on a lonely hilltop. Harold soon rescued the sheep and brought it to the Sodor Search and Rescue Centre.

Percy is a newborn lamb that is owned by Farmer McColl.
Biography[]
Percy once took one of Farmer McColl's ewes to a vet's house during a rainstorm, as the ewe was about to give birth, however, while on the way, Percy had to stop due to a landslide blocking the line. Farmer McColl ran off to get the vet and Percy's driver comforted the ewe until she gave birth to two lambs. Farmer McColl and the vet then arrived and the vet examined the two lambs, which he both determined as being healthy. After Farmer McColl thanked Percy and his driver, he picked up one of the lambs and stated that he was going to name the lamb "Percy", much to the tank engine's delight.

Biography[]
When Sir Handel was pulling some red narrow gauge coaches, some sheep strayed from their field and onto the tracks, and Sir Handel stopped in time, and the coaches, thinking Sir Handel bumped them, pushed him off the tracks.
When Percy saw Harold hovering above some sheep in their field, he assumed that Harold was counting sheep while he was flying Mr. Walsh around Sodor looking for a new location for the school's playground.
When Murdoch was taking a heavy goods train, he was stopped by some sheep who strayed onto the tracks, however, Toby soon arrived with the farmer, who brought the sheep back into their field.
When Mike was pulling a passenger train, he got blocked by some sheep who strayed onto the line.
