Trivia
- This is the only Shining Time Station VHS of several things:
- The only Shining Time Station VHS to feature Ringo Starr as Mr. Conductor and the only VHS to feature Ringo Starr's US narration of Thomas' Christmas Party.
- The only Shining Time Station VHS to feature an episode from the first season of Shining Time Station, though it is modified from its broadcast version.
- The only Shining Time Station VHS re-released by Anchor Bay Entertainment.
- In Thomas and the Missing Christmas Tree, due to Ringo Starr's departure before he had a chance to re-narrate certain lines, all lines mentioning the Fat Controller were omitted but were not re-narrated with "Sir Topham Hatt" in their place, leaving long instrumental pauses in some places. However, one line that was not omitted was the British name for Santa Claus, Father Christmas.
- The 1997 rerelease was sold in a 2-pack along with the 1995 rerelease of Thomas' Christmas Party at various Toys R Us Stores in 1998.
