Sir Topham Hatt I owned a blue car which he used for travelling.
He was first seen driving the car to Edward at Wellsworth after the big engines went on strike.[1] He also used the car to take his family to the Mainland when they went on holiday to East Anglia.[2]

Sir Topham Hatt's Car is based on a 4-door saloon dating from the 1950s. The exact basis of the car is currently unknown.

- The car has a similar appearance to Sir Topham Hatt's car in the fifth and twenty-fourth series of Thomas & Friends. However, the car had six side windows in The Railway Series, while in the television series, it has four side windows.
- A model of a car resembling Sir Topham Hatt's car is present on the Rev. W. Awdry's layout.
- It is unknown what became of the car after Sir Topham Hatt I's passing, as neither his son or grandson were seen driving the car.
