Skarloey (also known as Top Station, not to be confused with the Mountain Village Station) is a village and lake which serves as the terminus for the Skarloey Railway. Skarloey is named after here.
The design of the set for Tea Room Station bears remarkable similarities to that of Skarloey. It is possible they may have initially been intended to be the same location, however this is unconfirmed. On former Railway Consultant Sam Wilkinson's 2014 map of Sodor, the two are depicted as separate stations.
The design of the station buildings were based on Abergnolwyn station at the Talyllyn Railway.
