The Skarloey Railway owns a fleet of six open-sided quarrymen's coaches.

Biography[]

In addition to Agnes, Ruth, Lucy, Jemima and Beatrice, the Skarloey Railway also had a set of six open-sided quarrymen's coaches which were stored in the wagon shop at Crovan's Gate every weekend.^[1] The coaches were used to take the workmen to Skarloey Slate Quarry. It is unknown whether the coaches are still around or were scrapped or sold off after the quarry closed down.

The coaches are based on the Type 1a Quarrymen's carriages from the Ffestiniog Railway.

The coaches are painted light brown.
