- ― Thomas
Snowplough Struttin' is a magazine story illustrated using images from the All Engines Go series.
Plot[]
Sir Topham Hatt tells Thomas to wear his snowplough as he is sure it is going to snow later that day. Diesel and Percy are asked to help Thomas take supplies to the lighthouse before the snow arrives. Thomas loves wearing his snowplough and is keen to plough anything that even remotely resembles snow. First, he ploughs through a pile of flour. Next, he targets a pile of leaves.
Diesel and Percy quickly become frustrated with Thomas' ploughing; the snowplough is distracting him from their important delivery. Diesel asks Thomas to stop ploughing everything he sees. Thomas promises, but finds it difficult. Soon, all the engines come to a stop as the tracks are blocked by a herd of pigs. More engines start to arrive, but there is no way past the pigs. Then, Percy has a bright idea - Thomas can use his snowplough. Thomas starts to gently push the pigs off the tracks with his plough.
In no time, Thomas has cleared all the pigs and the engines can finally get on their way to a lighthouse. Thomas is still a bit disappointed that it hasn't snowed. Just then, snow starts to fall from the sky. Diesel tells Thomas to get ploughing and the happy tank engine obliges.
