There are many staff who work for the Sodor Construction Company.
The Foreman
The Foreman is Miss Jenny's second-in-command. Sometimes, he is the main one in charge of the vehicles and staff on the various sites they work at, while at other times, he assists Miss Jenny.
Biography
On Jack's first day with the Pack, Isobella advised Jack to see the foreman and told him that the foreman was in charge, to which Jack did. The foreman introduced Jack to his banksman and after informing jack of the rules, the foreman sent Jack to work with Alfie.
While Oliver was digging a trench for a school's swimming pool, he discovered something which later turned out to be a dinosaur fossil. After Oliver's banksman stated that it might be important, the foreman decided to call Miss Jenny, who in turn called Sir Topham Hatt, who called in two experts to examine what Oliver had found.
Personality
As a second-in-command, the foreman is known for being very strict with the Sodor Construction Company crew.
Uniform
The foreman's uniform consists of black trousers, a black tie and a white shirt with a black jacket over it. He wears a black bowler hat, which is deemed unsafe around certain construction areas.
In the CGI series, the foreman's uniform consists of brown trousers, a black tie and a white shirt with a blue jacket over it. He wears a brown hardhat.

Trivia
- In the CGI series, the foreman's appearance changed heavily, mainly due to him wearing proper construction safety equipment. His hair, moustache and eyebrows were blonde instead of brown.
Banksmen and Operators
Banksmen and Operators (also known as Oilers) are staff who work for the Sodor Construction Company. The banksmen supervise and guide the vehicles while they are at work, while the operators drive the vehicles and use any equipment that is attached to the vehicles.
Uniform
The uniform worn by the banksmen and operators consists of either brown, green, black or dark blue trousers, a black tie and a white shirt with either a blue, green, dark orange, dark blue or grey jacket over it. They wear hardhats that are in the same colour as their jackets. Buster's operator wears a different uniform, which consists of blue trousers, a black tie and a white shirt with a blue jacket over it. He wears brown overalls and a peaked cap.

Biography
When Max broke a water supply pipe and water started gushing, a workman quickly turned off the water supply, however, the water had already formed a mudhole under Alfie, who was starting to sink in it.
