Some Most Unusual Passengers is a magazine story.
Plot[]
A wildlife park has recently been built on the Island of Sodor, which Percy enjoys passing by. One morning, Percy's driver comes up with a big smile and says they have a special job. Percy asks what it is, but his driver is not sure, and has only been told they are to pick up some "unusual passengers" at the harbour.
When Percy arrives, the harbour stationmaster explains there is a special truck for him to collect. Percy is surprised to find the truck is very tall with high doors on the sides. Percy takes the truck to where a big ship has docked, and two giraffes board the train. Percy's driver chuckles and reveals he knew about the giraffes and wanted to surprise him.
Percy is confused when he takes a different route to the park, however his driver explains that the van is too tall to fit through the tunnels on the usual route. The park manager is very pleased when the giraffes arrive safely. He explains that he intends to build a railway for visitors around the park one day, and that if he does, Percy will be his first choice of engine.
