St. Mary's Hospital is a hospital located on one of Bertie's routes. A nurse once asked Bertie to take her to Knapford, when the engine's crew were taking a "special test". Thomas saw the nurse come out of the hospital and felt worried and puzzled. The drivers and firemen were faking injuries at Knapford. It only appeared in the magazine story, Feeling Fine.
