Stick with Steam is a magazine story.
Plot
One evening, Thomas returns to the sheds to find Gordon and BoCo arguing loudly about steam engines and diesel engines with them both trying to prove their superiority.
As more engines arrive at the sheds, the steam engines take Gordon's side and the diesel engines take BoCo's. The engines are so busy arguing that they are very tired by morning and refuse to leave the sheds.
The Fat Controller is informed of this and arrives at the sheds feeling very cross. He reprimands the engines and reminds them that they are all needed to keep the railway running and must work together, which makes the engines realise the error of their ways and set off to work immediately.
