The Gingerbread Train[]

The Gingerbread Train was a little gingerbread engine baked for Sir Topham Hatt's birthday. It has raisin eyes, a cinnamon drop mouth, an icing funnel, sugar cane pistons and a chocolate number 1 on the side.

Biography[]

The Gingerbread Train was created at the Sodor Bakery, as a gift from Thomas to Sir Topham Hatt. As there was not enough space in the baker's oven, it was put into Thomas' firebox to bake.

During Thomas' journey, the Gingerbread Engine escaped his firebox and ran away, afraid of being eaten. It went through a pig field and down Thomas' Branch Line, chased by Thomas, James, Bertie and a hungry pig. Eventually, it reached a tunnel where Diesel helped it to hide. After Thomas figured out Diesel was playing a trick on him, Diesel and the Gingerbread Engine ran off to Brendam Docks, where the engine fell into the sea and had to be rescued by Cranky.

After the Gingerbread Train was rescued, Thomas promised that he would not be eaten after the engine promised not to run away.
