Controversies[]
I believe that the wiki should not write about things that Sam did that may be controversial. This is because if any of it needs to be written, it must use credible sources and have some degree of notability. Things like tweets or posts on forums are not credible sources. It feels like some people want this information there just to have a record of shaming him.
These kinds of standards are in place on Wikipedia and other wikis. For example, there is a writer connected to Doctor Who who has involved himself in a number of disputes. Details of these activities has been removed because they are unsourced and do not have any relevance outside of some forums. Here are some examples:
I am not condoning any of Sam's alleged actions, nor do I feel I have enough of a grasp on all of it because there's always something new that comes up and I don't really know how people know him and what he does. Grammar issues and if his actions being mentioned here are worth noting[]
First off, I will say that I agree with everyone that what Sam did was plain wrong, but even if the staff wants his wrongdoings mentioned here, while some of the staff on this wiki don't agree on whether or not his wrongdoings should be noted on the trivia section, I should mention to you that there are still grammatical errors in the part where the period comes after several times followed by the lowercased succeeding. I'd fix it, but the page is locked, which I can understand why. I have explained this to one of the staff members, but no action was done here.
Even if you want his wrongdoings mentioned here, while Sam's scamming actions were completely wrong, I'd try to be more respectful about this and try not to acknowledge it. I'll leave it up to the staff her on whether or not Sam's acts of misconduct should be on the trivia part, but if the page is locked, can you please fix the grammar issues?--TheGreenBeetle (talk) 22:15, September 20, 2020 (UTC)
Is Sam still the railway consultant for the series even with the current state of the franchise?[]
I don't know if it's true or not but since the original series has ended in favor for AEG, doesn't this mean that Sam is not working for Thomas at this point in time? I have seen the page for the character Samson that Sam W. is the former railway consultant for Thomas so shouldn't we change this from Current to Former?TheGreenBeetle (talk) 22:53, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
