Dianna Basso is confirmed as director. Saw her name appear just after Thomas’ fourth-wall introduction in the Italian dub rip of “Trusty Trunky”. Hiikamaru (User talk:Hiikamaru) 02:47, August 6, 2018 (UTC)

S22 confirmed to air September 3rd on ABC Kids in Australia. The episodes will be airing daily at 4:45pm.

Also, this seems to be the confirmed order so far and Australian airdates:

  1. Number One Engine (03/09/18)
  2. Forever and Ever (04/09/18)
  3. Thomas and the Dragon (05/09/18)

Hiikamaru (talk) 10:40, August 22, 2018 (UTC)

Speaking of air dates, when I went on my television guide to record Big World Big Adventures, I saw that it is airing on Saturday, September 8th instead of the 7th. Can someone please update it.

Episode order (so far)

So it's looking like this is the official episode order, at least in the UK since it looks like Australia is airing S22EP03 out of order:

  1. Number One Engine
  2. Forever and Ever
  3. Confusion Without Delay
  4. Trusty Trunky
  5. What Rebecca Does
  6. Thomas Goes to Bollywood
  7. Thomas in the Wild
  8. Thomas and the Monkey Palace
  9. An Engine of Many Colours
  10. Outback Thomas
  11. School of Duck

Tweet confirming Trusty Trunky is Episode 4: https://twitter.com/Adski702/status/1032855492773724161

Tweet confirms What Rebecca Does is Episode 5: https://twitter.com/Adski702/status/1033217748049059847

Freeview TV Guide lists Episode 6 as Thomas Goes to Bollywood NarrowGaugeFanatic38

More Australian airdates confirmed on Twitter: https://twitter.com/Adski702/status/1034237590684278787

Due to ABC Kids airing 7 days a week and Milkshake only being 5 days, this means some episodes will air in Australia before the UK. Thomas Goes to Bollywood and Samson and the Fireworks will both air in Australia first.

Australian airdates for the following episodes:

What Rebecca Does - 08/09/18

Thomas Goes to Bollywood - 09/09/18

Samson and the Fireworks - 10/09/18

Runaway Truck will be airing on September 11th in Australia. That’s now another episode debuting in AUS before UK.

Another China-based episode, “Thomas in the Wild” will air on September 11th for the UK. Plot is Thomas taking a film crew to film giant pandas, which Thomas is in awe of like every other forced wild animal gimmick of this series. Pretty dumb episode plot-wise but at least it’s new info.

English title of the Rosie episode is “Rosie is Red” and it’s airing in Australia on September 12th. Another one that the Aussies are getting before the Brits.

Judging from the photo with Yvonne Grundy, there the TV screen reveals another episode title which seems to be called; 'Counting on Nia.' https://www.msn.com/en-gb/entertainment/tv/chuff-chuff-thomas-gets-multicultural-makeover/ar-BBMJE0y?li=AAnZ9Ug

Duck's School confirmed to air in the UK on September 17th, with the English title "School of Duck". I can clearly tell that is a pun on the movie School of Rock.

New pics

https://mobile.twitter.com/SunilFan48/status/1034996121331027970

SunilFan48 found more pics on the ABC TV website. One pic confirms Merlin will appear in the season, though I’m guessing he may have a different voice actor, much like what happened with Ryan.

Australian episode order is:

  1. Number One Engine
  2. Forever and Ever
  3. Thomas and the Dragon
  4. Confusion Without Delay
  5. Trusty Trunky
  6. What Rebecca Does
  7. Thomas Goes to Bollywood
  8. Samson and the Fireworks
  9. Runaway Truck
  10. Rosie is Red
  11. Thomas in the Wild
  12. Thomas’ Animal Ark
  13. Thomas and the Monkey Palace
  14. A Engine of Different Colors
  15. Outback Thomas
  16. Duck’s School
  17. Tiger Trouble
  18. Seeing is Believing
  19. Kangaroo Christmas
  20. ?????? (Not sure, but Rebecca and Philip are in it)
  21. ?????? (China episode, Hong-Mei appears again)
  22. ?????? (Sodor episode, Christmas themed, Bill and Ben appear)
  23. ?????? (Australia episode)
  24. The Case of the Puzzling Parts
  25. ?????? (Australia episode, seems to involve a bushfire)
  26. Counting on Nia

Also, going by the pictures it looks like the only countries Thomas visits are China, India and Australia. No episodes for Africa, Europe or the Americas, which is absolute wasted potential.

Episode count for each location

  • Sodor: 13
  • China: 5
  • India: 4
  • Australia: 4

Trivia needs adding

  • This season marks the first of a few things.

Where did you hear all this information? Some of it doesn’t sound right. Also, the only countries Thomas is visiting are Australia, China and India.

Shane

According to this news article, Shane is going to be voiced by Australian comedian Shane Jacobson. Or at least I’m certain.

Rebecca

https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/thomas-tank-engine-gender-balanced-female-trains-characters-steam-team-revamp-multicultural-a8517981.html

Rebecca's voice actress is Rachael Miller.

Chinese voices

http://www.digitalspy.com/tv/news/a865269/thomas-the-tank-engine-makeover-new-series-multicultural-female-trains-theme-tune/

Siu-See Hong appears in the Behind The Scenes video, and she voices An An. Based on Number One Engine's cast list, that means Windson Liong voices Lin Yong and Chipo Chung voices Hong-Mei.

Hiikamaru (talk) 07:04, September 3, 2018 (UTC)

Dexter

School of Duck is confirmed to air on September 17th in the UK, though we had the cast listing leaked last month. I'm betting that Mark Moraghan will be voicing Dexter. Just my thought.

Hiikamaru (talk) 08:20, September 4, 2018 (UTC)

Indian voices

https://mobile.twitter.com/Ryuu8_t/status/1037584452124270592

Trusty Trunky’s cast listing, and I’m guessing these were the voices:

  • Nikhil Parmar - Rajiv
  • Sanjeev Bhaskar - Shankar
  • Sheena Bhattessa - Noor Jehan
