Tankers are a type of rolling stock that are used to haul liquids. Thomas, Percy and Nia once took nine six-wheeled tankers on an overnight trip to the Mainland.

Technical Details

Basis

The four-wheeled tankers are based on standard fourteen-ton pre-war tankers common across most of regions of the United Kingdom, while the six-wheeled tankers are based on standard twenty-seven ton three-axle tankers used for things such as express milk deliveries.

Livery

The tankers have been seen painted red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, silver, brown and black. All of the tankers have either blue or black wheels and a white symbol resembling a droplet of water on their sides.
