Terence Randall Tractor[1] is an orange caterpillar tractor who works at McColl Farm on the Island of Sodor.[2]
Personality
Terence is a hard-working, fun-loving tractor who claims he works best when he is not stressed and is enjoying himself. Sometimes his carefree attitude can get him and his friends into being distracted when there is work to finish, but he works hard to get the job done in the end with a bit of fun along the way.
Technical Details
Basis
Terence has no definitive known basis, however his design is typical of crawler tractors produced between the 1920s and 1940s by companies such as John Fowler & Co., Caterpillar Inc., Allis-Chalmers and International Harvester.
Livery
Terence is painted orange with a black engine and exhaust pipe. He has dark orange rollers, toolboxes and frames around his engine.

- Early promotional art depicts Terence's toolboxes as being light grey. It is possible this was an early design element that was later changed.
- Terence is the first road vehicle to be depicted as a child.
- He has his snowplough for the first time since the 2008 special, The Great Discovery.
- According to the fourth series episode Chaos at Cronk's Crossing, Terence's middle name is Randall.
