Tetje Mierendorf (born 18 April 1972 in Hamburg) is a German comedian, musical actor and voice over artist. He voices some characters in the German dub of Thomas & Friends.
He played roles in various perfomances of musicals, including Vince Fontaine and Teen Angel from "Grease", Mushnik from "Little Shop of Horrors", Eddie and Dr. Scott from "The Rocky Horror Show", Edna Turnblad from "Hairspray", Bones from "Sisteract", and the title character of "Shrek: The Musical" in 2017.
He is also known for starring in tv-productions such as "Mein großer, dicker, peinlicher Verlobter", "Urmel aus dem Eis", "Schillerstraße" and "Frei Schnauze" and cinema movies like "Bauernfrühstuck" and "Kein Sex ist auch keine Lösung".
For a long time of his life, he was suffering from type 2 diabetes and was overweight. In 2014, he started losing some of it and went from 180 kilograms to less than 100. In 2018, he published a book about his experience called "Halbfettzeit: Mein neues Leben ohne Rettungsringe". A year later, he was elected to the board of the non-profit health organization "diabetesDE – Deutsche Diabetes-Hilfe".
He still remains the German voice for Gordon in Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go.
