It was re-released in the UK in 2010 under the title Complete Series 9 and released for digital download in 2017 under the title The Complete Series 9.

The episodes are presented in production order, which is also the order in which they were broadcast in Japan and Australia.
The rear cover of the Australian double pack features an image from Percy's Big Mistake.
This was the third Complete Series release to have all of its episodes also released on other DVDs in the UK, as well as the first odd-numbered one to do so.
The iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play covers features a non-CGI promotional image of Thomas from the twelfth series.
This is the last Complete Series DVD in the UK to have the Saved From Scrap Thomas cut-out on the front cover.

Goofs

On the 2010 UK release, the scenes at Abbey in Molly's Special Special glitch and lose sync for 20 - 40 seconds.
The 2022 Amazon cover features CGI promo images despite the fact that this season uses models.
