The Double Fairlie is a double-ended steam locomotive. It is owned by the Ffestiniog Railway.
It only appeared in the 1979 annual, where it was seen pulling a passenger train.
Basis
The Double Fairlie is based on the Ffestiniog Railway's Double Fairlie. Two of these are currently in service on the Ffestiniog, another is preserved at the National Railway Museum, another is under construction at Boston Lodge, and another was withdrawn from service for long-term storage pending resources for a future overhaul.
Mighty Mac shares the same basis.
Livery
The Double Fairlie is painted dark green with black lining and brass domes.
