The Elderly Brake Van is an old brake van who claims to have come from the Other Railway many years ago.
Biography
The Elderly Brake Van once had a conversation with Diesel and the Troublesome Trucks about engines who were named after race horses. He mentions two of Gordon’s siblings, Lemberg and Pretty Polly, so it is very likely that he was originally a brake van from the London and North Eastern Railway. [1]
Technical Details
Basis
The Elderly Brake Van appears to be based on a London and North Eastern Railway (LNER) Diagram 61 "Toad D" brake van. This type of brake van was the forerunner to the British Railways (BR) Standard 20 ton brake van.
Livery
The Elderly Brake Van is painted dark grey and has a grey wrinkled face similar to the Spiteful one.
