The Goat's Field is a field alongside the North Western Railway's Main Line west of Crosby. Once while passing by on the Express, Sir Topham Hatt leaned out of his carriage window to wave at Edward and Henry, but his hat was blown off and eaten by a goat in the field.[1] At a later date, James was stopped by the field after he caused a leak in one of the coaches' brake pipes.[2]
