Trivia[]
- Going by production order, this is the thirteenth episode of the twenty-fourth series.
- This marks the last of few things:
- The final appearances and speaking roles of Sonny and Rocky.
- Ruth's final episode with a leading role.
- The final episode to have Tomohiro Tsuboi and Wataru Hatano as part of the Japanese voice cast.
- The final appearance of Harold and Sir Topham Hatt's Car in the original series.
- The finale episode where David Stoten writes the episode by himself.
- Toby's final speaking role in the original series as well as his final starring role in the original series.
- The final episode to feature the newly updated Engine Roll Call song at the end.
- Dianna Basso's final episode as consulting director and the last episode to have her involved in production.
- This marks the Rickety Old Bridge’s two things:
- Its only appearance following its first appearance in the sixth series episode, Toby Had a Little Lamb and thus its final appearance overall.
- Its only appearance in full CGI.
- This episode marks the first of two things:
- The first time Toby's shed has been referred to by name since the fifteenth series episode, Toby and Bash.
- The first episode where Lower Arlesburgh is referred to by name and the first time it is acknowledged in some way since the first series episode, Toby and the Stout Gentleman.
- In Poland, this episode premiered before A New Arrival, so the audience would not know who Sonny or Ruth are.
- When Harold warns Toby to stop when the bridge had broken, it is similar to how he saved Toby in the fifth series episode, Toby and the Flood.
- In the UK dub, one shot of Toby on the walking bridge crossing the ravine starts with the tram saying "Are we there yet?" in a frantic manner. In the US dub, this is instead replaced with more of Toby whimpering.
Goofs[]
- When Rocky is loading parts of the broken bridge into Emily's trucks, his piston rods are floating.
- The support cables on Thomas' flatbeds are angled a short distance farther from the load.
