The Island Song, alternately titled Island Song, is the fourth song from the fourth series dedicated to the Island of Sodor. It aired in the US on the Mr. Conductor's Thomas Tales episode, Wish You Were Here in 1996. It was later re-released with a new CGI music video remake as part of Thomas' YouTube World Tour on 22 July 2015.
An instrumental lullaby version was created for the currently digital-exclusive album, Lullabies.
This song is dedicated to the memory of the late Britt Allcroft, who passed away on 25 December 2024.

Trivia
- A version without subtitles can be seen on Entertainment to Grow Up With promotional US VHS.
- The song was going to be in Thomas and the Magic Railroad as the opening musical sequence alongside Thomas' Anthem, but it was cut.
- The song took inspiration from the opening theme for Thomas' sister series, Tugs.
- The Norwegian dub has a slightly different musical arrangement.
- In the CGI version, the third verse is omitted.
Goofs
- In the scene of Thomas and Percy's Christmas Adventure when Percy is pulling the mail train, Percy starts to slow down.
- In the Japanese dub, after the lyric "The Island of Sodor" on the first chorus, the entire song is out of sync with the clips.
- In the Latin American Spanish dub, on all choruses the lyric "The Island of Sodor (La Isla de Sodor)" fades in too early.
