The Mainland Engines

The Mainland Engines are locomotives from the Other Railway who told Charlie how much fun Thomas is. They are presumably friends of Charlie.

Many of the engines on the North Western Railway originate from various railways on the Mainland.

In the current televison series, Spencer, Flying Scotsman, Connor, Caitlin, Samson, Theo, Lexi, Merlin, Frankie, Hurricane, Logan and several diesel shunters are the only known engines working on Mainland railway.
