The Missing Truck is a magazine story.
Plot[]
One morning, Henry is getting fired up to take a big goods train to the harbour. There are twenty trucks total and Henry soon buffers up in front of them, eager to get moving. The trucks, however, are not too keen.
Once Henry arrives at the harbour, the trucks are unloaded by the workmen. The stationmaster suddenly notices that Henry has only brought nineteen trucks with him. The twentieth truck is still waiting, all alone, in the sidings.
The Fat Controller informs Thomas of the situation and asks him to bring the missing truck to Henry. Thomas thinks Henry is very silly for leaving a truck behind but he gets quite a surprise when the truck ends up uncoupled on the journey. The guard inspects the truck and discovers the coupling is broken. Now Thomas thinks Henry was not being silly after all.
