The New Tunnel

The New Tunnel is a tunnel on a branch line of the North Western Railway. A station is located just before it.

History[]

The tunnel's route was planned out by Mr. Walsh as an alternative to taking a detour around a large hill. Its construction was aided by Terence, Edward, Duck and Toby with Henrietta.

The tunnel itself is rather long, which initially frightened Daisy when she was chosen to be the first engine to travel through it. When the tunnel was officially opened, Thomas brought the Fat Controller's guest of honour to the ceremony.
