Trivia[]
- The Parliamentary is named after the slang term "Parliamentary train", which refers to a requirement from the 1844 Railway Regulation Act for at least one third-class train to be run along every railway route in the United Kingdom per day.
- As seen in early photographs, around the time Albert Mk2 was constructed in 1974, the Parliamentary used a grey goods van in lieu of a brake van. This was later replaced sometime before 1978, as the new brake van can be seen in a photograph of the layout from that year.
