The Picnic was a passenger train which ran on the Mid Sodor Railway.
History[]
The Picnic was a tourist train, catering primarily to holidaymakers visiting Sodor from the Isle of Man and elsewhere. Between Easter and Michaelmas, the Picnic ran between Arlesburgh Harbour and Peel Godred, stopping on request at various beauty spots and places of interest for ramblers and picnic parties. In the afternoon, the train would return to pick up the parties set down earlier and take them back to Arlesburgh in time for high tea at 5:30 p.m.
